* This activity is only offered from October to May, in accordance with the rules and schedules established by SEMARNAT (Mexican Department of Wildlife). There is no exact start or finish date since the presence of whale sharks in the bay of La Paz varies based on their yearly migration patterns. Generally, activities begin by the end of October and conclude in April (though the permit says the season continues until May, there are usually no sightings during that month and throughout the summer).
** Wildlife abundance is unpredictable and, although sightings are not guaranteed, the odds are definitely in your favor. From 2016 to 20219, we had a success rate of 100% for whale shark sightings on our tours. In 2020, we had a day without sightings, but we rebooked the customers the following day and where all able to check it off their bucket list :-)
Our tour rates are in Mexican pesos. The price quoted in USD is an approximate, and may vary according to the exchange rate. All prices include taxes. There are no hidden costs. Your reservation will be confirmed once you have contacted us and completed the deposit.
